Sherry Younge has owned and operated The Artform Studio for the past 17 years. She has been working to perfect her craft of hair and make up artistry for over 22 years now. Sherry learned her art form through courses at Vidal Sassoon in Los Angeles, Redken in New York, Carlton Hair International, and then furthered her training in wavy, curly, & coily hair textures as an educator for DevaCurl. She is also RezoCut and RezoLite Level 1 Certified. Sherry’s favorite brands to use are Scwarzkopf, Evo, Kevin Murphy, K18, Cricket Tools, Kasho Shears, DevaCurl, and Rezo.

I was inspired to do hair when …
I realized how important it was for me to manage my hair, especially being that I am Filipino and my hair texture is very thick and wavy. My mom gave me a hair styling book in the 80s and it was my favorite book to learn how to do different types of braids. I was determined to learn every braid, and would braid my auntie’s long beautiful. At 19, my younger sister asked me to do her hair and make up for prom. I thought to myself, “I can do this!”
