RUBY WOODWARD

Ruby grew up in Detroit with the city’s background being a valuable, lifelong inspiration. She was licensed and trained, then took her career to Germany in 2008. It was there where she had the space to develop and mature her craft. The different standards of beauty allowed her sensibilities to grow. After returning to Detroit in 2014, she then moved to LA in 2016. Specializing in foiliage, baby lights, bleach & tones, dimensional color, perms, and all curly hair types. She believes success comes from clear communication. She’s currently inspiried by the new weather, fashion, and culture in LA.

I was inspired to do hair when…

“My mother would say when I was 4 and cutting everything into confetti. I would say after I realized college wasn’t for me. But seriously', my creativity wasn’t honed to hair until my early 20s”.

You can find me propagating succulents in my garden, sitting in the sun at Zebulon, making amateur gourmet meals for friends, DJing at Verdugo Bar & Tabula Rasa Bar.
