About

Ruby grew up in Detroit with the city’s background as an invaluable, lifelong inspiration. She was licensed and trained, then took her career to Germany in 2008. It was there she had space to develop and mature her craft. Different standards of beauty allowed her sensibilities to grow. After returning to Detroit in 2014, she then moved to LA in 2016. Specializing in foiliage, baby lights, bleach and tone, demential color, perms, and all curly hair types. She believes success comes from clear communication. She’s currently inspired by the new weather, fashion, and culture in LA.

I was inspired to do hair when…

My mother would say when I was four and cutting everything into confetti. I would say after I realized college wasn’t for me. But seriously, my creativity wasn’t honed to hair till my early 20’s.

Longevity! I want your color to last! I believe style should feel effortless and it’s my job to create that. You can find me...Propagating succulents in my garden, sitting in the sun at Zebulon, making amateur gourmet meals for friends, at Artform spinning my record collection or Dj at Verdugo Bar and Tabula Rasa Bar.
